Chelsea lining up 18m bid for Spanish striker
Chelsea are reportedly interested in Spanish striker Roberto Soldado. The 26-year-old has scored an incredible 22 goals in 4o games for Valencia this season, and with Chelsea in desperate need of a goalscorer, the goal machine seems their best option.
Both Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres are being linked with summer moves out of the club, and considering they are the only two real strikers the blues have, it would be devastating if a replacement wasn’t brought in.
Soldado currently has 2 years left on his contract at Valencia, and in the fear that he could leave on a free in the future, the Spanish side may look to sell him now, whilst they are most likely to get the best price for him.
A new striker needs to definitely be brought in over the summer, and if Chelsea fail to do so the results could be horrific.
At the end of the day, Roman Abramovich is a ridiculously wealthy guy, and during a transfer window he should really be splashing some serious cash.
