Chelsea set to make huge £47.5m bid for Real Madrid pair

Chelsea could make a huge £47.5m bid for Real Madrid pair Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema. The Blues have been linked with both players for some time now, but could Andre Villas-Boas finally make a tempting offer for the pair in January?

Chelsea are currently lacking in quality in the striking department, and with Daniel Sturridge being the only real threat they have upfront, Higuain and Benzema would seem sensible players to sign.

Chelsea will apparently make a bid of around £47.5m for the pair, which in my opinion is a pretty good deal for two fantastic players.

It will be interesting to see if Villas-Boas signs the pair in January, and if he does, it would surely strengthen Chelsea’s chances of winning the Premier League title.
