Chelsea set to make January bid for Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote

Chelsea will make a bid for Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote in January. The Ivorian midfielder has caught the eye of AVB, and numerous sources have suggested the blues will make a bid for the 25-year-old this month.

Tiote is in stunning form at the moment, and would add real passion and fight to the Chelsea midfield.

He is a very unique midfielder, and one that I feel Chelsea desperately need in their side.

Tiote joined Newcastle 2 years ago and has so far made 40 appearances for the Toon Army scoring just one goal (a stunner against Arsenal).

The former FC Twente midfielder is rated at around £20m, but a part of me feels Chelsea will gave to offer something around the £35m mark in order to snap him up.
