Chelsea to splash the cash on exciting 10m midfielder
Andre Villas-Boas will begin the revolution at Stamford Bridge by signing Brazilian sensation Lucas Moura in the summer.
The 19-year-old is rated as one of football’s hottest talents having starred for Sao Paulo recently, not to mention already collecting 10 caps for his country. Chelsea could face significant competition for his signature however, as Moura is seen as the next big thing, ensuring the Brazilian’s name is near the top of every manager’s wish list.
The attacking midfielder is exactly the type of player Villas Boas wants to bring to Chelsea as he looks to reduce the average age of his playing squad. The Portuguese manager has already introduced new faces like Juan Mata and Oriol Romeu to the side and is set to continue this clear out of the old guard in the summer. The likes of Frank Lampard, Didier Drobga and Petr Cech will all be fearful of their futures, as the boss is looking to remove the old Mourinho favourites from the club.
It is uncertain whether Villas Boas will keep his job though, as Roman Abramovich is far from happy with Chelsea’s current form. The likes of Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink have been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge and the midweek Champions League clash with Napoli is set to decide Villas Boas’s fate.
