The 25m striker Arsenal are setting their sights on in the summer

Arsenal are reportedly planning a bid for AC Milan goal machine Alexandre Pato. The Gunners are likely to lose star striker Robin van Persie in the summer, and if so, bringing in a quick replacement would be key.

The 22-year-old has reportedly been on Arsene Wenger’s radar for some time and come the summer a bid in the region of £25m could be made.

Pato has previously shown that he can score goals, and playing in the Premier League should certainly be a future goal for him. His pace and skill would certainly cause Premier League defences all sorts of problems, and if the Gunners could acquire his services, it would be an inspirational signing.

Arsenal have been wasteful in front of goal recently, and bringing in a new striker over the summer should definitely be a key priority. Pato would be ideal especially if they really want to challenge for a top 4 finish next season.

Arsene Wenger is aware that he has to bring in new players over the summer period, and Pato is just one of at least seven he should consider bidding for in my eyes.

The future looks bright for Arsenal and I really hope they go on a summer spending spree.
